Chris Teague, Kellogg MBA - Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Welcome to Teague Medical. I am Chris Teague, the servant leader of this amazing team. My purpose is simple to write, yet, difficult to carry out:
Providers treating patients facing mobility challenges due to injury deserve an entire ecosystem of solutions; not a single new widget. I have spent my entire professional life within orthopedics, biologics and advanced rehabilitation seeking to pull together a holistic way to support some of my dearest friends, family members and the community I live within.
With the help of clinical experts, both those treating patients and those ensuring ethics and compliance are the guiding principles of our organization, I am blessed to form a network of strategic partners to ensure providers don't have to limit their options for treating patients struggling to regain mobility.
In today's healthcare environment, innovations are stifled due to lack of vision, payer access and missed unmet needs. Our team is driven to overcome these headwinds so we make sure every provider we serve and every patient they serve has access to a life-changing mobility management solution.

Meet our Head of Total Joint Replacement, Dr. Timothy Ekpo. As the founder of Michigan Joint Replacement Institute, Dr. Ekpo’s skill and passion set him apart in providing outstanding orthopedic care. Dr. Ekpo leads the Teague Team in advancing the field of joint replacement, with a focus on pioneering surgical techniques, state-of-the-art technologies, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach that drives our pursuit of excellence. Dr. Ekpo is instrumental in identfying adjacent technologies to advance outcomes.
Jonathan Godin, MD, MBA - Head of Sports Medicine
Meet our Head of Sports Medicine, Dr. Jonathan Godin. As a member of a world-renowned sports medicine practice, the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute, Dr. Godin brings his expertise in treating patients’ knees, shoulders and hips to guide the Teague Team in understanding clinical applicability. Dr. Godin‘s experience as a site investigator and fellowship at Steadman Phillippon Research Institute further ensures the team stands behind the clinical needs required for device adoption.
Derek Ochiai, MD - Head of Practice Integration
Meet our Head of Practice Integration, Dr. Derek Ochiai. Dr. Ochiai specializes in sports medicine hip arthroscopy and is well-published. As a surgeon partner at the Nirschl Orthopaedic Institute, Dr. Ochiai brings to the Teague Team his unique expertise in device integration into a medical practice to further help patients return to leading athletic activities as well as lives they define as their desired state of normality. As a thought leader on exercise and return to sport, Dr. Ochiai brings tremendous value in helping Teague Medical integrate patient-centric technologies and therapies into medical practice.
Leonardo P. Oliveira, MD - Head of Non-Operative Therapies
Meet our Head of Non-Operative Knee Therapies, Dr. Leonardo Oliveira. Dr. Oliveira specializes in non-operative orthopaedics and clinical sports medicine. As a member of the Cleveland Clinic Florida team, Dr. Oliveira enables the Teague Team to focus on addressing non-operative patient needs, especially in the athletic population. Being from Brazil and bi-lingual, Dr. Oliveira has unique experience treating culturally diverse patient populations in South Florida, providing further insight into Teague Medical's practice of addressing unmet patients needs, especially linguistic challenges for patient access to care.
